KHAIRPUR, May 29: A large number of farmers protested on Monday in Thari Mirwah taluka and Sobhodero against implication of their colleagues in bogus cases in Hingorja and Thari Mirwah. The farmers in Thari Mirwah staged a procession from mukhtiarkar office to the press club. In Hingorja, the farmers staged a demonstration.

They said the FIRs filed by irrigation officials against 40 farmers were fabricated.

KILLED: Unknown armed men shot dead a man over an old enmity in the wee hours of Monday in Tando Masti.

Reports said that seven armed men shot and killed Gul Hassan Mari, 26, when he was in his house in Langah village near Lalan Wah.
