Even as it claimed to be in contact with authorities in both Israel and Italy to ensure the safety of Italian citizens on the flotilla, Israel’s embassy in Italy has issued an ominous warning ahead of a likely interception of the vessels, Al Jazeera reports.

In a post on X, the embassy said that “some participants seem intent on provoking”, adding: “We hope that such actions do not lead to incidents and that everything concludes peacefully.”
