KHAR, May 27: Fifteen people were wounded, some of them seriously, when a pickup plunged into a ravine in the Laraki area of Bajaur Agency on Saturday, officials and hospital sources said.

They said that the driver of the pickup (BJ-0351) lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a narrow turn, which caused the accident.

The local people rescued the injured who were taken to a hospital in Khar.

Dr Mohammad Karim said that several of the wounded people were discharged after being administered first aid, whereas seriously injured passengers had been admitted to the hospital.
