The third attempt has come to a close and there’s still only two men who have qualified directly to the final. What that means is they’ve thrown over 84.50m and don’t need to throw on all three attempts.

After Qualifier B gets underway at 8:45pm (4:45pm PKT), we’ll know who else has directly qualified.

In case there’s not enough athletes who throw over 84.50m, the top 12 will move to the final, including those who automatically qualified.
