PESHAWAR, May 26: NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani has said his government is planning to establish a medical institute in Peshawar for providing treatment to children, and research and training facilities to doctors.

He made the annoncement during a visit to Wazirbagh and Hayatabad on Friday to select a place for the proposed institute.

The chief minister also visited different public hospitals to apprise himself of problems being faced by ailing children.

He said the medical institute would be established with help of the Japanese government, adding the Japanese government.
