Power Minister Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari has welcomed the prime minister’s relief in August electric bills for flood-affected areas and said he is “grateful for the timely and people-friendly decision”.

The minister reiterated that electricity bills for August in flood-affected areas have been waived and the collected funds will be returned.

“The Power Division will ensure immediate implementation of this,” he said in a statement.
