The Punjab police have said that over 364,000 citizens and more than 487,000 livestock have been evacuated safely amid the ongoing floods in rivers.

“Over 15,000 police personnel, 740 vehicles, and 40 boats are working day and night in the affected districts,” Punjab IG Usman Anwar was quoted as saying on X.

“Arrangements for accommodation in the flood relief camps, food, and medicines are being ensured,” he added.
