Water level at Chiniot and Trimmu headworks along the river Chenab is nearing critical levels, the state-run Radio Pakistan reports.

The district administrations of both Jhang and Chiniot remain prepared to deal with the worsening situation as relevant teams in both districts are actively engaged in evacuation and relief activities.
