Flash flooding is possible in the capital and Punjab from September 7 onwards, according to the NDMA.

“Rain is expected in Islamabad and most districts of Punjab from September 7 to 9,” the NDMA said in a post on X.

It added that there is a risk of urban flooding and overflow in rivers and streams in Murree, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Chiniot, Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, and Sargodha.
