More than 250 prisoners from the Gujrat Central Jail have been shifted to the District Jail Jhelum in light of the flood in parts of Gujrat, Deputy Commissioner Jhelum Syed Maisam Abbas said in a statement.

Jhelum District Jail superintendent Yasir Khan confirmed the transfer, saying that the measure was taken to ensure the safety of the prisoners.
