13 killed in Punjab, one in AJK today: NDMA

The National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) states that 14 people have been killed and five injured across the country, as Punjab is wracked by severe flooding.

The NDMA’s Monsoon Sitrep 2025 states that of the 14 killed, 13 were killed in Punjab and one in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). Of the fatalities, 92.9 per cent were caused by riverine floods and the remaining 7.1pc by landslides.

Three men, three women and seven children were among those killed in Punjab.

Since June 26, 829 people have been killed and 1,116 have been injured amid this year’s monsoon rains.
