KARACHI, May 19: Six ships, including Pacific Sun-2 carrying 18,000 tons of sugar, are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Eric G Gibson to unload and load containers, Heroic Ace, to offload vehicles, Pacific Emerald, to offload steel cargo and Swat, to unload crude oil.

Four ships, Marca Labria, Y M Fortune, Hyundai Sprinter and Furia-R departed on Friday, while Eric G Gibson, Heroci Ace, Swat, Badulu Valley, MOL Silver Fern and Khairpur are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total cargo of 82,167 tons comprising 16,823 tons of export cargo, including 2,181 tons of rice and 65,344 tons of import cargo, was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Yang Jiang He, Ilse Wuff, Thor Captain Wan Hai-303, with containers and Haje Khereh, with general cargo.
