KARACHI, May 18: Three ships carrying containers and carbon oil were accommodated berths at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, three more ships with containers and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy remained at 78 per cent as seven ships were busy in loading and offloading containers, seeds, carbon oil, edible oil and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 93,419 tons comprising 78,799 tons of import and 14,620 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Sealand Freedom, Askabat and Golden Fareast left the port while Mumbai Express, Denderah Rickmers, Fair Mike and Vema Ocean were due to depart.

Five ships, Indonesia Star, Camille, Ibn Sina, Anette Kosan and Warbah, were awaiting for their berthing turn at the outer anchorage.
