TAXILA: Former federal minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan has strongly criticised the current government’s policies, calling them anti-people.

Speaking to newsmen on Sunday, he called for electing true public representatives in the upcoming general elections.

He expressed the hope that the next elections would not be manipulated through Form 47 and anticipated that the assemblies would complete their constitutional tenure.

Ghulam Sarwar Khan stated that the public was fed up with the government’s performance, particularly due to rampant inflation and skyrocketing unemployment.

He expressed optimism that the upcoming elections would be held on time and not be marred by the controversial practices of the past.

Commenting on the deteriorating security situation in Balochistan, Mr Khan condemned the recent acts of terrorism and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives. He held India responsible for sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan and said Indian interference in Balochistan is well known.
