JI unveils long march plan from Quetta to Islamabad

QUETTA: Jamaat-i-Islami Balochistan Emir Maulana Hidayatur Rehman, while expressing serious concern over the deteriorating law and order situation, has announced a protest long march towards Islamabad on July 25, against insecurity in the province, closure of border trade, and the unresolved issue of missing persons.

Speaking at a press conference here on Sunday, he said that the march will begin from Railway Hockey Ground, Quetta, and proceed towards Islamabad. He highlighted that Balochistan is facing a severe law and order crisis, with highways no longer safe for travel, despite an expenditure of Rs83 billion on security.
