SUKKUR: Unknown suspects broke the locks of a wholesale shop and its warehouse in Haji Nizamuddin Mahar Market and got way with goods worth millions of rupees in the town of Khanpur Mahar Ghotki district last night.

The shop owner, Pawan Kumar, told local reporters that unknown thieves had broken into his shop and warehouse, which were located in the middle of the city, and stolen approximately 400 cartons of cooking oil, 200 cartons of beverages and other items besides Rs50,000 in cash.

Amounting the total estimate of the stolen goods to around Rs1.5 million, the shop owner demanded immediate return of them.

Meanwhile, Khanpur Mahar police called a forensic team and a sniffer dog to collect fingerprints and other evidence before leaving the scene.

But the sniffer dog failed to pick a trail of the thieves.
