PML-N workers demand intra-party elections
PESHAWAR: The workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) from various districts including Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera and Khyber have demanded of their leadership to hold intra-party elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Speaking at a press conference at Peshawar Press Club on Monday, PML-N workers, led by Advocate Alam Sharif of Nowshera and PML-N youth wing coordinator Ideas Khan, criticised their leadership for ignoring the workers, who rendered sacrifices for the party.
They demanded of their leadership to conduct intra-party elections. They alleged that the party leadership neglected the workers, who rendered sacrifices for the party, and instead backed favoured individuals.
The workers criticised the party leadership for not conducting intra-party elections for the past eight years and allowing groups to flourish within the party. They demanded of their leadership to restore the rights of workers.
They demanded of their leadership to recognise the struggle of workers. They also criticised the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for prioritising personal interests over the welfare of people.
