Qatar has summoned the Iranian ambassador after Iran attacked the major US military base on Qatari soil following American strikes on its nuclear facilities, AFP reports.

The foreign ministry expressed its “strong condemnation” of the attack and repeated that it “retains the right to respond to this egregious violation”, a statement said.
