Qatar’s foreign ministry has issued a statement saying that it “affirms that the security situation in the country remains stable, and there is no cause for concern”, BBC reports.

“The Ministry stresses the importance of not giving in to rumours or circulating inaccurate information,” the statement says.

The foreign ministry says that it will coordinate with other Qatariauthorities to “ensure the safety of citizens and residents, and tomaintain the normalcy of public life”.
