The Iranian attack on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar will impact relationship-building efforts that have been underway between the Arab Gulf states and Iran, a Gulf official has told Reuters.

“Iran’s actions play into the hands of Israel, which wants to sowdiscord and derail recent improvements in relations between Iran andthe Gulf countries,” the official said, speaking on the condition ofanonymity.
