SRINAGAR, May 11: Kashmiri militants on Thursday shot dead two policemen at point-blank range in occupied Kashmir’s main city while a soldier and two militants died in gunbattles, police said.

The violence came as occupied Kashmir chief minister Ghulam Nabi Azad held a high-level meeting to review security in the region where peace talks are scheduled at the end of the month.

The policemen were killed while on patrol in Srinagar.
