British Foreign Minister David Lammy has said that he has spoken with his counterparts in Iran and Israel to stress the need for de-escalation, Reuters reports.

Lammy said in an X post that he urged a diplomatic, negotiated solution to the conflict, but noted that Iran “must never have a nuclear weapon”.
