Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has said Israel did not anticipate that Iran would demonstrate such military capabilities in its retaliatory operation, Iranian media outlet Press TV reports.

Maduro, referring to threats against the Iranian supreme leader, said the world now knew that the Islamic Republic has gained military superiority over the Israeli regime.

“It is because of this military defeat that the Zionists have resorted to terrorist attacks and threats against high-ranking Iranian officials,” he noted.
