Iranian state media has said air defence systems were activated against “hostile targets” over the capital Tehran, a week into a war triggered by major Israeli attacks, AFP reports.

“Iran’s air defences confront hostile targets in northern Tehran,” said official news agency IRNA without elaborating. Another news agency, Mehr, gave the same report.
