Israel acknowledges ‘minor damage’ to Soroka hospital: report
Israel’s health ministry has acknowledged “minor damage” to the emergency department and other buildings of the Soroka Medical Centre while saying the hospital remains functional, Iranian outlet Tehran Times reports.
Quoting a ministry statement, it said that authorities confirmed that earlier concerns regarding a potential leak of hazardous materials from the laboratory building were fully resolved.
It added that the public has been advised to avoid visiting Soroka Medical Centre until further notice and patient services are being temporarily redirected to Barzilai Medical Centre, Assuta Ashdod and Kaplan Medical Centre.
