GUJRANWALA, May 10: As many as 13 members of a family fainted due to food poisoning in Kashmir Colony, Rahwali on Wednesday.
Reports said Zain, Zubair, Atif, Nazir, Farzana, Shaheen, Afraz, Iqra, Nusrat Bibi, Asif, Amjad, Shah Begum and Afzaal took dinner and became unconscious later. They were rushed to local DHQ hospital where doctors said they suffered from food poisoning. However, their condition was stated to be stable.
ROBBERIES: Robbers looted the house of an industrialist, a passer-by and took away a motorcycle in three strikes in and around the city here on Wednesday.
Reports said as many as three outlaws entered the house of Rana Ijaz Ahmad by scaling the boundary wall at Taj Town. They held hostage the inmates and made off with a cash of Rs85,000, 16-tola gold jewellery and other valuables. Two robbers looted Rs41,000 from a trader, Humayun, of Jinnah Road when he was on his way following withdrawing the amount from a bank. In another incident, three bandits intercepted a passer-by, Ashgar, on Habibpura drain and took away Rs11,000 and his motorcycle (LXD-6615).
