CM urges collective action to make Sindh ‘plastic free’
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Thursday emphasised the need for collective action to protect the environment and urged people to join hands with the provincial government in its campaign against plastic shopping bags.
In his message on the occasion of World Environment Day, he highlighted the importance of minimising plastic use and said that his government was strictly enforcing plastic regulations to achieve a “plastic-free Sindh”.
“A plastic-free Sindh is our dream, and we must work together to make it a reality,” he said.
He appealed to the public to ensure minimal use of plastic and to adopt environmentally friendly practices.
The chief minister said the Sindh government had launched a plastic-cleaning campaign across the province and that strict implementation of plastic laws was being ensured.
