Next ADP to prioritise ‘high-impact’ initiatives: CM

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur on Wednesday said the new Annual Development Programme would lay a solid foundation for the province’s development plans over the next four years.

Chairing a consultative meeting here on the preparation of the upcoming ADP for Mardan division, Mr Gandapur said the next ADP would be formulated in light of recommendations from elected public representatives, ensuring that new projects reflected the genuine needs of local populations, according to an official statement.

He said the ADP would prioritise “practical and high-impact” initiatives serving the broader public interest.

Mr Gandapur noted that a significant portion of development funds for the next fiscal year would be allocated for completion of ongoing projects.

“The projects with 80 per cent and more physical progress will be completed in the next year, resulting in the completion of nearly 50 per cent of ongoing projects,” he said.

The chief minister announced his commitment to equitable development across all regions of the province.

“In my capacity as the head of the provincial government, every constituency is my constituency, and all areas will receive their fair share of development based on population size, backwardness and public needs,” he said.

Mr Gandapur said no region would face discrimination in that process.

The final session in a series of consultative meetings focused on extensive discussions about the proposed development projects for inclusion in the ADP from the Mardan division, according to the statement.

Lawmakers from Mardan attended the session and presented their suggestions for new development projects in their respective constituencies. They also reviewed progress on development projects in the division.
