HYDERABAD, May 8: Residents and commuters faced hardships in Saddar area as roads remained closed to traffic on arrival of Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim on Monday.

The worst sufferers were patients coming from far-flung areas as doctors’ lane was completely closed.

The chief minister visited the police hospital to inaugurate construction of new wards.

He also attended a reception hosted in his honour by traders of cantonment shopping area.

A reception camp was set up on the main road of Saddar which connects adjoining streets and small roads.

There was congestion on the press club, cantonment police station and Jamia mosque Saddar roads due to blockade of traffic on the main arteries.

Hundreds of rickshaws, motorists and motorcyclists were diverted to other small roads which again created a chaos because of small space for traffic and parking.
