Nation observes Youm-i-Tashakkur over ‘success’ of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos

Pakistan observes “Youm-i-Tashakkur” (Thanksgiving Day) today, as announced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif after the Pak-India ceasefire, for giving a befitting response to the neighbouring country’s aggression and the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.

In a statement, he said the day will be observed for “offering gratitude to Almighty Allah, paying tribute to the unmatched bravery of the Pakistan Armed Forces, and appreciating the unity and resilience of the Pakistani nation”.

According to the Radio Pakistan, PM Shehbaz appealed to the nation, particularly religious scholars, to offer special prayers across the country for the martyrs and the soldiers.

A large crowd gathered at GPO Chowk in Murree to pay tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces, PTV News reported.

People from all walks of life participated in the demonstration, expressing their unwavering support and admiration for the military. They chanted slogans such as “Long live Pakistan!” and “Long live Pakistan Army!”.
