UK’s Secretary of State David Lammy has said he spoke to the foreign ministers of both Pakistan and India, stressing that “conflict is in nobody’s interest”.
“Last night’s military activity between India and Pakistan is a serious concern,” Lammy said on X, referring to India’s strikes on Pakistan and the latter’s retaliation.
“Speaking today to [India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar] and [Pakistan’s FM Ishaq Dar], I was clear that conflict is in nobody’s interest.
“There needs to be a dialogue that leads to a swift and sustainable ceasefire,” the UK official added.
