The district administration of Abbottabad has imposed a ban on all types of drones for two months amid rising India-Pakisan tensions, the Associated Press of Pakistan reports.
According to a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the restriction has been imposed as “a proactive measure to deter any possible aerial surveillance or recording that could aid anti-state elements or miscreants during these sensitive times.”
The ban has been enforced under Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
The public has been advised to report any suspicious drone activity to the nearest police station.
