BAHAWALPUR: Sonia alias Salman, a transperson, suffered critical burns in an acid attack at village Muhammadpur Ghota in Qutabpur Police Station limits of district Lodhran.

According to police, the acid was allegedly thrown on the transgender by one Anees who had been forcing the victim for his friendship. On the victim’s refusal, he threw acid on her to take revenge. After the attack, the suspect managed to flee.

The police registered a case against the suspect and shifted him to Nishtar Hospital, Multan.

RAPE: Abdul Hakim police in district Khanewal claimed to have arrested an alleged rapist who had allegedly raped a seven-year-old girl at Muhammadi Mohallah the other day.
