KARACHI: Five water tankers were torched by enraged people after a bike-rider was killed by a dumper truck on University Road near Jail Chowrangi on Monday night.

Police and rescue services said that a large number of people gathered on the road after the heavy vehicle ran over and killed the motorcyclist.

They said that enraged youth torched five water tankers passing through the road. Both tracks of the main road were closed for traffic after the incident.
