French President Emmanuel Macron told his new Lebanese counterpart Joseph Aoun in a phone call that he is in communication to maintain the ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel, Reuters reports according to a statement by the Lebanese President’s office on X.

Aoun asked Macron to oblige Israel to implement the agreement to preserve stability.
