Oil prices hit record

LONDON, April 19: World oil prices on Wednesday struck fresh historic peaks above 74.0 dollars in London and close to 72.0 dollars in New York on global supply concerns.

Crude futures, which in recent days have reached all-time highs on fears of military conflict between the United States and Iran, hit the new records after the US government revealed a further drop in stockpiles of US gasoline
