LPG price raised

LAHORE, April 17: The consumer price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been raised to Rs40 per kilo from Rs34 a kilogram, a dealer said on Monday.

The increase in the consumer price of LPG, say the dealers, is necessitated by the enhancement of LPG rates by Rs3,210 per metric ton to Rs20,210 from Rs17,000 by PPL, OGDC and Parco, all government-owned companies.

The dealers say the increase in the LPG prices by these companies would also provoke the private producers to raise the rates to the same level. —Staff Reporter
