Mercury may fall to single digit in city
KARACHI: The ongoing cold wave persisted in the metropolis as mercury is expected to fall to 8 to 10 degrees Celsius on Saturday (today) under the influence of two weather systems prevailing over the region.
“The temperature is likely to drop under the influence of a high pressure area over Afghanistan and another system prevailing on the eastern side,” said weatherman Anjum Nazeer Zaigham.
The minimum and maximum temperature recorded on Friday in the city was 10.5°C and 26.5°C. Humidity levels fell to eight per cent in the evening.
According to a Met department advisory, night temperatures are likely to remain 3°C to 4°C below normal in upper and central Sindh.
In Larkana and Kambar Shahdadkot, night temperatures are expected to be 4°C to 6°C below normal, while in lower Sindh, 2°C to 3°C below normal.
