KARACHI, April 14: Six ships carrying palm oil and to load rice are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where four ships, Calvin P. Titus to unload and load containers, Orionis to load fresh fruits, Banglar Kakoli to unload and load general cargo and Parsian to offload sugar were berthed after the departure of six.

The vessels, which departed included Hyundai Sprinter, Y.M. Fortune, Thor Captain, Germania, Ducky Symphony and Asdrubal-2, while Amar, Orionis, Sinar Bontang and Maersk Alabma are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 69,131 tons comprising 24,131 tons of export cargo and 45,000 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Global Union, with 2,500 tons of palm oil, Warbah, with high speed diesel, Fotini Lady, to load naphtha, Nipha Naree, with 30,831 tons of DAP fertiliser, Iran Thkhti, to load 15,000 tons of rice, Zhen Hua-7, with general cargo.
