PESHAWAR, April 12: A meeting to discuss modalities for acquiring and preserving the historical Sehti House would be held by the provincial archaeological department on Thursday.
The director, Archaeology and Museums, Prof Dr Ehsan Ali, said that the meeting, to be chaired by the additional chief secretary, would be attended by Secretary Culture, Secretary Planning and Development, and officials of the Archaeology and Finance department.
He said that the meeting would hold threadbare discussions on the procedure for acquiring the house from its owner and measures for its preservation and utility.
The NWFP government had recently taken a decision to acquire the Sehti House which was being sold by its owner.
The issue about preservation of the Sehti House was raised by the Sarhad Conservation Network.—APP
