LAKKI MARWAT, April 9: Shamsur Rehman Shamsi, Adviser to Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani has criticised State Minister for Water and Power and provincial president of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Amir Muqam for his alleged threat to stop development funds of parliamentarians belonging to the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal.

“The minister should focus on bringing the Frontier province on a par with other provinces instead of hurling such threats,” Mr Shamsi said while speaking at a Dastarbandi ceremony at Madressah Taleemul Quran in Kot Kashmir, 25km off here, on Sunday.

Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (F) provincial deputy chief Haji Amir Nawaz Khan and district amir Maulana Abdul Rahim also attended the ceremony.

Mr Shamsi urged the minister to get more and more funds for development of backward areas of the province.—Correspondent
