Poland’s foreign minister said that Europe must take more responsibility for its security, adding that he was in contact with Donald Trump’s team after the Republican claimed victory in the US presidential election, Reuters reports.

“The American people have made a decision, which we respect,” Radoslaw Sikorski told reporters. “I am in ongoing contact with the highest security officials in Donald Trump’s camp. Europe urgently needs to take greater responsibility for its security … Poland will be a leader in increasing the resilience of the European Union.”
