Democrat Kamala Harris has won California, giving her the largest prize in the presidential election of 54 electoral votes, the AP reports.

A Republican candidate hasn’t won a presidential contest in the state since 1988, and the GOP hasn’t seriously contested California in a presidential election since 2000, AP states.
