Passengers robbed

HARIPUR, Oct 16: Armed highwaymen deprived the passengers of two vehicles of cash and other valuables on Chappar Road, 25km from here, on Saturday.

According  to police sources, about 10 masked bandits, who had erected barricades on the Chappar Road, deprived the passengers of two wagons (AD-7566 and AD-4095) of Rs100,000 and other valuables at gunpoint. The vehicles were going to Haripur.

Some passengers, who resisted, were wounded by the dacoits.

SUICIDE: A boy, Maqbool, committed suicide over a domestic dispute at the Sangian village on Sunday.
