KARACHI, April 5: A framework of cooperation and regular exchanges has been worked out between ruling Pakistan Muslim League and Communist Party of China during a recent visit by the PML delegation to China, led by its Secretary General Senator Mushahid Hussain Saiyed.
This will not only help promote mutual understanding between the people of the two countries, but also open new avenues of cooperation for promoting peace and stability and close interaction.
Pakistan and China have already decided to start a regular bus service between Kashgar and Gilgit from June 1.
This was stated by PML Sindh chapter information secretary Haleem Adil Shaikh who was one of the members of PML delegation which returned here after a week-long visit to China.
Recalling his impression of the visit during a meeting with a group of journalists, Mr Shaikh said the delegation visited the party school in Beijing, International Department in Shanghai and held meetings with the Governors of Xingjian and Urumqi.
He said the delegation also met Pakistani students studying in medial university in Urumqi where Muslims have all liberty and freedom.
Mr Shaikh said that Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Syed had offered scholarship to the Chinese official, who was assisting in translation for PhD in Pakistan.
To another question the PML leader said the delegation also visited Tarpon, 2000-year-old city and the Great Wall of China with famous silk route.
Other members of the delegation included Mrs Farukh Khan, Ms Surriya Nasim from PML ladies wing, and Chaudhry Imtiaz, Rana Zaheeruddin, Dr Khalid Raza, Faqir Hussain Bokhari and Javed Chaudhry.
