Drug pusher killed

RAWALPINDI, April 4: Anti-Narcotics Force on Tuesday claimed to have killed a drug trafficker and arrested his accomplice during an encounter, which took place near Burhan Interchange. The ANF authorities said it also seized 480kg of charas, 4 Kalashnikov assault riffles, 4 magazines, 90 live rounds and one rifle from the car used by the drug smugglers, the authorities said. The ANF personnel signalled a car near Burhan Interchange. When the car stopped, two inmates tried to escape.

The ANF team overpowered Musafir Khan, resident of Peshawar, but Gul Amin started firing with a Kalashnikov on the ANF staff. In retaliation, the ANF staff also opened fire which resulted in the injuries to Gul Amin.—Staff Reporter
