WASHINGTON, April 3: A C-5 transport cargo plane with 17 people on board crashed early Monday near a airforce base in the northeastern US city of Dover, Delaware, military officials said.

A spokesman at the base, told AFP there was no immediate word about injuries in the crash. “There were 17 people on board. Their condition is unknown,” Beck said.—AFP
