Winning start by Bangladesh, India

DHAKA, April 1: Hosts Bangladesh and India began their campaign in the first Asian Football Confederation Challenge Cup with victories on Saturday.

India outplayed Afghanistan 2-0 while Bangladesh had to struggle in overcoming Cambodia 2-1 on the opening day when four matches were played. All the matches produced outright victories.

Pakistan play their match on Sunday when they face Kyrgyzstan.
