Cycle rally held to mark Eid Milad

SHIKARPUR, April 1: The “Labbaik Ya Rasoolullah” cycle rally was taken out by the activists of Anjuman Tuleba-e-Islam (ATI) in connection with the Eid-i- Miladun Nabi (PBUH) here on Friday.

The rally was led by ATI provincial secretary, Abdul Ghafoor and Maulvi Habibullah.

A large number of ATI activists and citizens participated in the rally.

The participants while marching on city roads on their bicycles and motorcycles reached at Lakhi Gate tower chowk where they staged a demonstration to express their solidarity with Muslims to follow the message of Holy Prophet (PBUH) to live their lives in accordance with the teaching of Islam and the Holy Quran.

Maulvi Abdul Ghafoor, Maulvi Habibullah, Mohammad Aslam, Hafiz Ali Gul, Manzoor Ahmed Abbasi and others highlighted the practical life of Holy Prophet Muhammad(PBUH).

RALLY: The members of Shikarpur Councillors Unity took out a rally to protest against deteriorating law and order situation in the district here on Friday. The rally was led by Lala Sarfaraz Khan Pathan. While marching on city’s main roads, the rally terminated at Lakhi Gate tower chowk after staging a demonstration.

Speaking on the occasion, Lala Sarfaraz, Naqeeb Mirza, Babu Jokhio, Lala Akhtiar Khan, Ateeq Soomro and other councillors expressed concern over the negligence of police to ensure peace and calm in the district.

They appealed to Sindh chief minister, home minister, PPO Sindh, RPO Sukkur region and DIG operation Larkana to pay attention towards the law and order situation which was deteriorating by criminals under the shelter of police.

They also demanded to stop narcotics peddling and Aakra parchies being run under the supervision of police. The councillors threatened to launch a protest drive against the police.
