PESHAWAR: The district administration here has decided to digitise the manual fine collection system in the provincial capital.
A statement issued here on Thursday stated that the district administration and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board were working on developing a mobile phone application for this purpose.
It said that the newly-developed system would store the details of the violators including the nature of the violation, geo-location, punishment and the fine imposed.
Peshawar Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem Akram said that this application would record all the necessary details about an offence, including its nature, location and date.
He said this system would help in bringing transparency to the fine collection system and also guide the district administration in making informed decisions about administrative matters.
